Job summary

NHS Wales Employers is seeking a compassionate, experienced Director to lead the NHS Wales Employers’ remit on workforce policy, pay and terms and conditions.

You will work across NHS Wales, advising Chief Executives and Directors of Workforce & OD, and represent employers in UK discussions while building strong relationships with stakeholders.

This is a national, senior role available through appointment or secondment, with a track record in workforce management and change leadership.

Qualifications

• Director level experience at board or equivalent senior management level
• Experience of building personal and professional credibility with Executives and Senior Managers, Trade Unions and Government representatives
• Experience of and the ability to win the confidence of colleagues at all levels

Responsibilities

• Horizon scanning emerging issues, assessing their impact and determining appropriate action
• Represent Welsh employers in UK discussions on pay, pensions and terms and conditions
• Communicate emerging policy; and project manage complex negotiations
• Coordinate the development and review of workplace policies, guidance and position statements in partnership with employers, trade unions and Welsh Government
