Job summary

The Development Director is a senior leader within the Citizens Theatre, responsible for the creation and delivery of the Citizens Theatre’s fundraising strategy and achieving agreed philanthropic income targets. You will lead a programme of fundraising across trusts and foundations, statutory funders, individual giving, major donors, corporate partnerships and other philanthropic opportunities.

This is a strategic and relationship-led role, reporting to the Artistic Director & Executive

Qualifications

• Senior fundraising leadership role shaping and delivering the fundraising strategy.
• Accountable for achieving agreed philanthropic income targets.
• Lead a diverse portfolio across trusts, foundations, statutory funders, and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement fundraising strategy to grow income.
• Lead and develop the fundraising team.
• Secure long-term funding relationships with major donors and funders.
