Job summary

Melton Borough Council is seeking a motivated and detail-focused professional to lead the monitoring and management of developer contributions, ensuring that funding from the planning system helps deliver the infrastructure, services and facilities our residents need.

You will monitor Section 106 agreements, track payment triggers, and report outputs to senior officers, councillors and external stakeholders, helping shape future policy and delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with developer contributions, Section 106 agreements or CIL is beneficial.
• Strong ability to manage complex information and data with attention to detail.
• Ability to build positive relationships with teams, developers and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Council's developer contributions monitoring systems and records.
• Track legal obligations, payment triggers and infrastructure delivery requirements.
• Work with planning, finance, legal and service teams to ensure contributions are collected and allocated.
• Build strong working relationships with developers, infrastructure providers and partners.
• Produce reports and performance information for senior officers, councillors and external stakeholders.
• Help shape future approaches to developer contributions, infrastructure planning and funding.
