Job summary

Melton Borough Council is seeking a detail-focused professional to lead the monitoring and management of developer contributions, ensuring funding through the planning system supports essential infrastructure for residents.

You will monitor Section 106 agreements, report on performance, and collaborate with planning, finance and legal teams to allocate funds effectively. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to shape infrastructure planning within the Council.

Qualifications

• Experience with developer contributions, Section 106 agreements or CIL would be beneficial.
• Ability to manage complex information and financial data with precision.
• Strong relationship-building skills with developers, infrastructure providers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Council's developer contributions monitoring systems and records.
• Track legal obligations, payment triggers and infrastructure delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with planning, finance, legal and service teams to ensure contributions are collected and allocated.
• Build strong working relationships with developers, infrastructure providers and partner organisations.
• Produce reports and performance information for senior officers, councillors and external stakeholders.
• Help shape the Council's future approach to developer contributions, infrastructure planning and funding.
