Job summary

Maldon Salt Ltd. is seeking a Demand and Supply Planner to own the demand planning and forecasting process for our FMCG portfolio. You will translate promotions, seasonality and product activity into an actionable demand plan and collaborate with Commercial, Customer Service, Finance and Operations.

You will lead the demand element of the S&OP cycle, review forecast accuracy, manage risk and opportunities, and support supply planning with clear data-driven insights using Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in demand planning, forecasting or S&OP.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience handling large data sets.
• Experience using ERP, MRP or demand planning systems.
• Understanding of forecast accuracy, seasonality, promotions and demand planning principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with Sage X3 or SAP.
• Experience using Power BI for data visualization.
• Experience leading demand reviews within an S&OP process.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing and seasonal demand patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the rolling unconstrained demand forecast across products, customers and markets.
• Build and improve forecast baselines using historical sales, forecast data and market intelligence.
• Incorporate promotions, seasonality, product launches and commercial assumptions into the demand plan.
• Lead demand review and consensus activities in the monthly S&OP cycle.
• Prepare the demand plan, supporting analysis and risk/opportunity scenarios for review.
• Provide accurate demand forecasts and a clear handover to the Supply Planning team.
• Analyse forecast accuracy and communicate changes to stakeholders.
