Job summary

Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Demand Planner to join their Head Office in Plymouth. You will forecast demand, manage stock availability and support replenishment with Buying and Supply Chain teams to optimise inventory.

The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and experience in data‑driven decision making. You will influence forecasting for promotions and seasonal activity, contributing to improved service levels and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment or Supply Chain.
• Experience in retail, wholesale or FMCG environments.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Advanced Excel and forecasting/BI tool experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong communication across departments.
• Commercial awareness and proactive improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Forecast product demand to ensure stock availability.
• Analyze sales trends and demand patterns to improve forecasts.
• Review promotions and adjust forecasts accordingly.
• Investigate variances between forecast and actual sales.
• Manage ordering exceptions and root cause analysis.
• Place and authorize purchase orders, including system orders.
• Create ordering schedules to support replenishment efficiency.
• Forecast and manage stock for upcoming promotions and seasonal activity.
• Monitor KPIs, inbound deliveries and outbound projections.
• Collaborate with Buying on product ranges and forecast exceptions.
