Job summary

Burberry is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Products & Governance in London to lead a product-led approach to data across the organisation. You will line-manage five Data Product Managers and the Data Governance Manager, shaping roadmaps, prioritising backlogs and driving adoption.

You will own enterprise data governance through design, policy and stewardship, collaborating with Risk, Cyber Security and business leaders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data product management in a complex, multi-function organisation.
• Strong understanding of product management practices including discovery, roadmaps, and lifecycle management.
• Experience operating data product models with cross-functional squads in Agile environments.
• Deep knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage, and governance operating models.
• Ability to prioritise a portfolio of data demands and communicate trade-offs clearly.
• Proven leadership, coaching and development of product managers and data professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Data Products & Governance capability, line-managing five Data Product Managers and the Data Governance Manager.
• Define and maintain Burberry's data product management operating model and lifecycle from discovery to retirement.
• Own the enterprise data product portfolio with clear users, sponsors, outcomes and ownership.
• Coach Product Managers to translate user needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead portfolio-level demand shaping with Enterprise Data leadership and Delivery teams.
• Ensure PMs partner with Delivery Managers and engineering leads; governance embedded by design.
