Job summary

Essex County Council seeks a Business Relationship Manager to act as a strategic partner to executive leaders, translating priorities into data-driven opportunities and ensuring outcomes-focused decisions across the organisation.

Based in Chelmsford, the role will lead the insight portfolio, drive data literacy and work with internal and external partners to promote data-informed decision making and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent professional experience demonstrating insight generation, stakeholder engagement and strategic data use.
• Accredited BRMP or working towards accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Executive Directors and senior leaders.
• Translate business priorities into data-driven opportunities and actionable roadmaps.
• Own the insight portfolio and align with executive priorities to drive transformation.
• Promote data literacy across council services and ensure evidence-led decision making.
• Communicate service offers and capabilities to stakeholders to drive adoption and impact.
