Job summary

Essex County Council is seeking a Data Partnerships Officer to co-ordinate partnership data projects and engage with internal and external partners. The role supports delivery of data initiatives across Essex Centre for Data Analytics and related councils and universities.

You will plan and coordinate events, manage communications, and provide reports and implant solutions to improve services. The role requires excellent communication and organisation, with hybrid working options and attendance

Qualifications

• Minimum of GCSE passes (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Experience of and interest in working in a partnership setting.
• Experience of and interest in communication and engagement activities within an organisation.
• Experience of working with a wide range of partners and managing competing demands.
• An ability to work well with others in a team and partnership environment including networking and developing strong working relationships both internally and externally.
• Ability to think creatively, identify and develop ideas from a range of sources and translate ideas into actions.
• Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and facilitate the removal of barriers to success with partner organisations.
• Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to draft content and deal with matters in a sensitive way.
• Ability to deliver to deadlines and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and a high capacity for factual accuracy and attention to detail.
• An ability to work fairly, autonomously, be proactive and driven to get results.
• Experience of project/organisational and event management and interest in data is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate partnership data projects and programmes, engaging with lead s to problem solve and overcome delivery barriers.
• Build effective, collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners.
• Undertake desktop Research, develop and deliver reports, briefings and products aligned to the role.
• Contribute ideas and solutions for continuous service improvement and high customer satisfaction.
• Support in organising key events, seminars and briefings, including venues, invoices and budgets.
• Create, update, source and produce copy for Essex Centre for Data Analytics online platforms.
• Provide business administrative support for key partnership groups including meetings and agendas.
• Provide timely engagement reports and feedback and contribute to monitoring and evaluation reports.
• Maintain knowledge of the council’s functions and processes.
