Job summary

Flannery Plant Hire is looking for a data/BI professional to help design and deliver Power BI and Fabric-based reporting across the organisation. You will build semantic models, implement row-level security, and work with department heads to determine what data truly matters.

You will also write SQL views, automate data flows, and integrate APIs where needed, ensuring data quality and end-to-end delivery across the business.

Qualifications

• Around three years in a data, BI or Power Platform role.
• Strong Power BI — semantic modelling, DAX beyond the basics.
• Confident SQL — writing and optimising views, and understanding performance.
• Real experience of Power Apps, Power Automate, or API integration.
• Ability to work end to end and translate vague business needs into deliverables.
• Stakeholder credibility to present results to department heads or customers.
• Curiosity about the business and ability to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building Power BI and Fabric semantic models and reports that other people depend on.
• Delivering customer-facing reporting under row-level security, ensuring proper data segregation.
• Writing and maintaining the SQL views that underpin the reporting estate.
• Working directly with department heads and senior leadership to determine true needs and delivery.
