Job summary

AirTanker Ltd is recruiting a senior Crew Training and Establishment Planning Manager at Brize Norton. You will lead the training planning function across ground, flight and simulator training, and oversee crew establishment planning to meet regulatory and contractual standards.

You will engage with Flight Operations, Cabin Services, RAF stakeholders and training partners to shape long-term crew capability and training plans that support safe, compliant operational delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Crew Training functions and teams.
• Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CAA Training Regulations and Fatigue Risk Management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Crew Training function, including resource planning, team development and performance.
• Oversee the development and continuous improvement of training plans, ground school delivery and training records.
• Support long-term crew establishment planning with Flight Operations and Cabin Services to maintain appropriate crew levels.
• Lead the development and delivery of the annual IATP alongside key internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee compliance, standards and validation activity, including controls, audits and reporting.
• Build strong relationships across AirTanker, the RAF and our external training suppliers.
• Oversee the Crew Training Error Log process, including investigation, root cause analysis and preventative actions.
• Represent Crew Training at senior forums and align training requirements with crewing and operational demands.
• Maintain effective governance across Crew Training processes and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement across efficiency, flexibility, safety and performance.
• Promote a strong safety, quality and compliance culture across the function.
