Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Costing and Reporting Accountant to lead costing workstreams, deliver NCC submissions, and provide insightful financial reporting across the Trust. You will translate complex NHS guidance into practical guidance for clinical and non-clinical teams.

Qualifications

Professional accounting qualifications at postgraduate diploma level or equivalent.
CCAB or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) or 5 years as an accountant.
Experience of costing within the NHS and healthcare finance knowledge.
Advanced Excel and MS Office skills for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead costing workstreams, NCC submissions and SLR/PLICS outputs.
Prepare NHS returns and support statutory accounts as required.
Line manage the Costing and Sustainability Assistant and develop the team.
Develop BI reporting tools and reporting suites for stakeholders.
Provide financial guidance to non-financial managers for informed decisions.

Education

Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Accountancy or equivalent

CCAB or CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)

Experience in NHS costing/healthcare finance

Advanced knowledge of Excel
