Job summary

North Devon Homes seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Finance Team in Barnstaple. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to deliver timely financial reporting, governance, and robust budgeting.

The role may include line management and deputising for the Financial Controller when required. You must be qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with strong Excel skills, experience in management and financial accounting, and the ability to interpret financial data for budget holders and

Qualifications

• Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) with accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and experience of computerised finance systems.
• Ability to analyse large volumes of data and provide accurate reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts and KPI information.
• Support year-end statutory accounts and external audit process.
• Assist budget holders with performance interpretation and forecasting.
• Contribute to budget setting and medium-term financial planning.
• Maintain strong balance sheet controls and asset records.
• Support cashflow forecasting, VAT and regulatory reporting.
