Job summary

You will join WSP’s UK‑wide Engagement team of 60 plus, shaping how major projects connect with communities. You’ll work on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure programmes across water, health, energy and environment, helping to deliver engagement that is thoughtful, impactful and built on best practice.

Within Planning and Consents you’ll be mentored by senior specialists as you contribute to public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities.

Qualifications

• You have a degree or comparable professional experience in a relevant field.
• Membership of a relevant professional or trade body is welcomed but not essential.
• Experience in roads, rail, utilities, water, environment or energy.
• Experience contributing to or leading engagement activities on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience mentoring or line-managing colleagues is valued.

Responsibilities

• Writing easy to understand communications for communities and stakeholders.
• Organising events and surveys to gather feedback.
• Presenting feedback to help projects develop responsibly and reporting themes.
• Providing communication and engagement advice to clients across UK and internationally.
• Managing projects to meet timelines, budget and resources.
