Job description

VANRATH is delighted to assist a major Communications Company with the recruitment of a Senior Communications Associate to join their growing and dynamic team at their Belfast office.

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 + Negotiable depending on experience + fantastic benefits

Hours - Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00 - WFH on Fridays

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum one year's experience as a Client Executive / two years as a Senior Client Executive in PR, public affairs, and/or digital communications, either in an agency or in-house setting.
• In-depth knowledge of the media landscape in Northern Ireland is essential; experience in the Republic of Ireland is highly desirable, with a proven track record of securing strong media coverage and online engagement for campaigns.
• Experience supporting client accounts, including campaign management, drafting press releases, and leading social media and influencer partnerships.
• Public affairs experience is desirable, with a strong understanding of the local government and political landscape in Northern Ireland.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
• Eagerness to learn, progress, and a drive to exceed expectations.
• A degree in any discipline with a minimum classification of 2:1.
