Job summary

City of Doncaster Council is seeking a proactive Communications and Engagement Officer to join the busy Communications Team at Civic Office, Doncaster. You will plan and deliver integrated campaigns that support council priorities, working with senior leaders and partners to inform and engage diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Degree in communications or related discipline with significant experience.
• Significant experience in a communications role within a large/complex organisation.
• Experience managing proactive and reactive media relations.
• Proven across multiple disciplines: marketing, PR, design, digital and social media.
• Ability to convert briefs into effective campaigns with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integrated communications campaigns aligned with service priorities.
• Advise and support directorate leadership teams on communications.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across channels.
• Produce engaging content across digital, social, marketing and PR.
• Lead on media relations and manage press enquiries while handling sensitive issues.
