Singer Vehicle Design in Woodford Halse near Daventry is seeking a Commodity Manager to own the spend portfolio for designated commodities, reporting to the UK Procurement Manager. You will lead strategic procurement processes and build strong internal and external relationships.

In a cross-functional setting, you will drive cost reductions, develop supplier strategies, manage contract negotiations, and ensure timely material flow to support vehicle development programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a buyer or similar Procurement role.
• Strong background in low volume, high mix manufacturing or operational environments.
• Experience of developing and communicating Procurement Commodity Strategies.
• Proficient in working with MRP systems.
• Prior experience in rapid growth environment.
• Prepared to occasionally travel for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities and negotiate contracts for designated commodities to optimize cost and supply continuity.
• Undertake contractual and price negotiations with current and new suppliers, ensuring commercial solutions are in place to maximize value.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives with minimal disruption to component supply.
• Develop and implement robust global commodity and supplier strategies to meet business needs across all stakeholders.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams to achieve company-wide goals.
• Process order requests and place orders with suppliers to support product launches and vehicle build demand.
• Participate in project reviews and integrate procurement into the project management process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
