Job summary

AMLR Recruitment Ltd in Derby is seeking a Commodity Manager to drive supplier strategies, secure favorable terms, and ensure supply continuity for direct aerospace commodities.

Reporting to Head of Sourcing, the role requires strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence across the organization. Hybrid Derby location, 18-month contract, 52k base plus 6k car allowance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Experience with MS Office and MRP/ERP systems preferred.
• Aerospace raw materials and supply markets knowledge is advantageous.
• Ability to travel within the UK and overseas; valid passport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier negotiations and manage contracts to achieve best terms and compliance.
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and report on financial performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
• Assess and mitigate supply chain risks, including contingency planning.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Prepare reports on supplier performance, savings, and market conditions.
• Support ERP system implementation and use procurement software and analytics tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct supplier negotiations and manage contracts to achieve best terms and compliance
• Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies
