Job summary

Connect2Hackney is seeking an experienced Commissioning Officer to support Adult Social Care commissioning in the London Borough of Hackney. You will monitor contracts, manage performance and work with a range of internal and external stakeholders to secure high-quality, value-for-money services.

You will analyse contract performance, support financial monitoring and contribute to market development while ensuring data is managed securely and in line with regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning, contract management or contract monitoring.
• Experience monitoring service and provider performance against standards.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to build productive relationships with external providers.
• Ability to identify issues and develop appropriate solutions.
• Experience preparing clear, high-quality reports and performance information.
• Understanding of health and social care policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the quality and performance of commissioned services and contracts.
• Support contract management and monitoring, identifying risks and improvements.
• Build relationships with providers, commissioners and internal teams.
• Analyse and report on contract performance using local and national data.
• Support financial monitoring of contracts and expenditure reporting with finance colleagues.
• Arrange provider review meetings with commissioners and service managers.
• Collaborate with providers to implement improvement plans where needed.
• Support service reviews to ensure value for money and fit for purpose.
• Contribute to market development and commissioning activity.
• Ensure accurate and secure management of data related to commissioned services.
