Job summary

The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Commissioning Officer to support the design, development and delivery of services for vulnerable children, young people and adults across the borough. You will assist throughout the commissioning cycle and work with a variety of stakeholders to improve outcomes and value for money.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting projects, programmes or service improvement initiatives.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience gathering, analysing and presenting information and data.
• Ability to produce clear reports, presentations and briefings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills for stakeholder relationships.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning activity across multiple service areas and stages of the cycle.
• Assist with needs assessments, service design, co-production and procurement.
• Support mobilisation, contract monitoring and provider engagement.
• Work with service managers, finance, procurement, legal, health partners and voluntary sector to deliver priorities.
