Job summary

Arch Europe Insurance Services Ltd, part of Arch Capital Group Ltd, seeks an experienced underwriter to deliver efficient case underwriting in the UK. You will work with brokers and internal stakeholders to align with appetite, guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Role requires at least 2 years of underwriting experience, strong negotiation and selling skills, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve divisional targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum A level standard preferred
• Professional Certification - progress towards Cert CII preferred
• Experience in Commercial Insurance industry preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and organized approach

Responsibilities

• Manage own cases (renewal and/or new business) within appetite and authority.
• Negotiate flexibly with brokers and internal stakeholders to achieve objectives.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of underwriting decisions.
• Adhere to prescribed processes, QA procedures and best practices.
• Support retention, conversion, rate and loss ratio targets.
• Build strong relationships with broking partners and cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate strong negotiation and communication skills.
