Atomic Weapons Establishment in Reading is seeking a Principal Commercial Partner to lead commercial strategy across business units, guiding Make/Buy decisions and total cost of ownership. You will shape demand, align with category strategies, manage risk, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver value.

The role features a 9-day working fortnight, hybrid working with three on-site days in a long week and two on-site days in a short week, plus a salary range of £63,270 to £90,000 and

Qualifications

Seven to ten years of commercial and procurement experience.
Experience in Category Management and strategic sourcing.
Proven stakeholder management and change leadership.
Ability to develop commercial strategy in highly complex environments.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial solutioning for the Business Unit, including Make/Buy recommendations and total cost of ownership.
Align Commercial with the Business Unit to identify demand plans and drive value.
Collaborate with senior leadership to influence strategic decisions.
Ensure effective handshakes between programme and Commercial functions on pipelines.
