Job summary

Kiwa UK is recruiting a Commercial Financial Controller to drive sustainable growth within the NQA business. You will partner with senior leaders, shape strategy, and deliver robust financial planning, forecasting and investment appraisal.

This hybrid role from our Dunstable office involves travel to other sites; you will champion data-driven decision making, support governance, and mentor stakeholders to improve financial literacy.

Qualifications

• ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification required.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape decisions.
• Strategic mindset with track record of profitability improvements.
• Strong commercial and financial modelling skills for service-based businesses.
• Openness to personal development with data systems and coding.
• Ability to meet tight timescales and deadlines.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to the Finance Director and NQA Managing Director, shaping commercial decisions and ensuring alignment with robust financial controls.
• Oversee quarterly forecasting cycle and annual budget process.
• Review and enhance business plans, investment proposals and expansion initiatives.
• Analyse and challenge customer and project profitability.
• Provide insightful reporting including costs, margins, forecast adherence, utilisation and performance updates.
• Support commercial and systems projects, including investments and integration planning.
• Build relationships with international Kiwa and SHV teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Analyse sector and market trends for risks and opportunities.
• Partner with Finance and Data teams to improve financial literacy and train senior stakeholders.
• Promote continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making, including digital decision support tools.
• Support commercial governance, contract creation, ROI analysis and expansion activity.
• Support statutory audits, tax compliance, internal controls.
• Lead annual costing and transfer pricing activities and assist audits.
