Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking a Change Lead to drive transformation across complex programmes on site in Cheltenham. You will lead change activities, develop strategies, and engage stakeholders to embed new ways of working in a government/defence environment.

Your role includes benefits tracking and readiness assessments. Candidates must hold active eDV clearance and bring proven change-management experience in defence or government.

Qualifications

• Active eDV clearance (non-negotiable).
• Proven experience in business change or transformation roles, ideally within defence, security, or government.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at senior level.
• Experience with change frameworks such as Prosci, APMG, or similar.
• Confident communicator, able to translate complexity into clear action.

Responsibilities

• Lead business change activity across transformation programmes.
• Develop and implement change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communications.
• Assess organisational readiness and manage resistance to change.
• Work closely with programme and delivery teams to embed new ways of working.
• Support benefits realisation and track adoption post-go-live.
