Job summary

Carl Meyler Associates is supporting a Private Equity backed international business as it appoints a Chief Financial Officer to join its senior leadership team and play a central role in its next phase of development.

The CFO will combine commercial insight with financial rigour, partnering with the CEO, Board and investors to scale the business internationally and prepare for a future exit. Hybrid working with regular presence at the Manchester offices is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong financial control, reporting and commercial analysis capabilities.
• Experience presenting performance and insight to senior stakeholders.
• Track record of partnering with commercial and operational teams.
• Influencing commercial decisions and contract negotiations.
• Hands-on, delivery-focused approach across strategic and detailed issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted strategic partner to CEO and Board, providing insight and commercial perspective.
• Lead development of board reporting, management information and KPIs.
• Support commercial decision-making, contract negotiations, margin optimisation and operational performance.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, treasury, working capital and cash flow management.
• Build relationships with investors, funders, auditors and external stakeholders.
• Strengthen finance function and develop a high-performing team.
• Strengthen governance, risk management and financial controls across an international business.
• Support adoption of technology and data to improve decision-making.
• Work with leadership to deliver value creation plan and support exit.
