Job summary

Talent Finance is assisting a private equity backed business in Poole to appoint a Chief Financial Officer who will partner with the CEO and Board to shape strategic direction and provide robust financial leadership during a growth phase.

The role requires leading FP&A, cash flow, reporting to the Board, strengthening controls and supporting potential acquisitions, with hybrid working from Poole and close collaboration with investors.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong Board-level experience.
• Experience with M&A, business transformation, technology-enabled services or SaaS is desirable.

Responsibilities

Talent Finance are partnering with an established and ambitious business to appoint a Chief Financial Officer as it enters an exciting new phase of growth.

This is a key leadership appointment, working closely with the CEO and Board to help shape the strategic direction of the business while ensuring finance provides the insight, challenge and infrastructure needed to support continued expansion.

The business has a strong established customer base, an evolving technology offering and ambitious plans for further UK and international growth.

The Role

As CFO, you will take responsibility for the financial and commercial leadership of the business, with a broad remit including:

• Partnering with the CEO and Board on strategy and business performance
• Leading financial planning, forecasting, cash flow and performance management
• Providing commercial insight to support growth and investment decisions
• Developing high quality management and Board reporting
• Strengthening financial systems, controls and processes as the business scales
• Supporting potential acquisitions and integration activity
• Leading and developing the finance team
• Working closely with external investors and key stakeholders

About You

• We are looking for an experienced CFO or senior Finance Director with a strong commercial background and experience within an investor backed environment.
• You will be a qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA, with strong Board level experience and a track record of supporting businesses through growth and change.
• Experience of M&A, business transformation, technology enabled services or SaaS would be particularly relevant.
• You’ll need to be strategic but equally comfortable getting into the detail, building strong relationships across the business and working closely with the CEO to turn ambitious plans into commercial results.
