Park Avenue Recruitment is seeking a Head of Capital Projects to lead a major local authority capital programme in the North West of England. The role involves delivering a diverse portfolio from feasibility to handover, with responsibility for governance, budgets and programme delivery.

Applicants will have a proven track record in public sector capital projects and strong experience in procurement, contracts, and CDM/Health & Safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a varied capital programme
• Manage projects through the full project lifecycle
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, risk and programme performance
• Manage consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams
• Drive commercial and contract management activities
• Ensure compliance with CDM, Health & Safety and Building Regulations
• Report progress and risks to senior stakeholders
• Support future capital investment planning and programme development
