Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH in Macclesfield seeks a Director Capability & Change to shape and deliver the capability and change activities aligned to the GCD Strategy to 2030. You will develop and implement a clear approach to change, ensuring it is well planned, communicated and embedded across the organisation.

The role focuses on developing capabilities, engaging senior stakeholders, and realising benefits through learning, readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in change management, transformation, learning and development, or related field.
• Experience leading complex organisational change in a large, matrixed environment.
• Experience in scientific, technical, R&D, or manufacturing settings.
• Proven ability to develop and implement clear communication strategies.
• Experience supporting benefits realisation and learning enablement.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Capability and Change: Develop and deliver an integrated change approach aligned with the GCD Strategy to 2030.
• Capability Development: Equip colleagues and leaders with the skills, knowledge and support to adopt new processes and tools.
• Change and Technology Adoption: Lead engagement and adoption for new processes, digital tools and AI-enabled capabilities.
• AI in Scientific Workflows: Support the implementation of AI and technology across labs and development activities.
• Communications: Deliver clear, audience-focused communications on change progress and outcomes.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build alignment with senior leaders across cross-functional teams.
• Learning and Enablement: Identify learning needs and coordinate capability-building support.
• Readiness and Continuous Improvement: Assess readiness and use data/feedback to improve delivery.
