Job summary

Butler Ross is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to join a busy manufacturing supply chain. The role offers hybrid working with up to two days per week from home and a salary up to £40,000.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers and raise purchase orders using an MRP/ERP system.
• Negotiate with suppliers and support tenders to achieve improvements.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure on-time delivery and expedite orders when required.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, including single-source components.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes.
• Monitor supplier performance and assist with purchasing KPIs and reporting.
• Drive process improvements across purchasing functions.
• Support purchasing strategy for production materials and services.
