Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking an experienced Buyer to join the Supply Chain team in a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll manage key suppliers across Engines & Mechanicals, Composites and Marine Components, ensuring materials are ordered and delivered on time to support production.

Key responsibilities include raising purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, building supplier relationships, maintaining SAP/ERP data, and driving improvements in supplier performance and purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Buying, Procurement or Supply Chain within manufacturing or engineering.
• Experience using an ERP system, ideally SAP.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and information.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with suppliers.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders to meet production requirements.
• Monitor supplier deliveries and chase outstanding orders where needed.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
• Keep supplier and purchase order information accurate on SAP/ERP systems.
• Work with internal teams to resolve supply issues and avoid delays.
• Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and the purchasing process.
