Job summary

Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Business Technology Partner to bridge business needs with technology strategy in a complex healthcare environment. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, and deliver strategic initiatives aligned with the IS roadmap and organizational goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with senior leaders, driving value for patients and families, and shaping technology strategies that enable transformative outcomes across the health system.

Qualifications

• Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, risks, and mitigations.
• Identify potential risks and issues within the program and develop strategies to address and mitigate them.
• Ability to design, structure, and lead teams or projects and deliverables
• Ability to work effectively across the organization, leveraging matrixed teams and building coalitions to realize shared objectives
• Ability to assess an organization from a people, process, technology, and infrastructure perspective
• Collaborate with the departmental leadership team to align program strategies with the overall IS roadmap and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Advocate as a champion of change for your partners’ strategic plans.
• Build strategic relationships with partners to stimulate, surface, and shape demand.
• Ensure that the business units products, services, and resources are tailored to meet the specific needs and expectations of the users and the patients and families of CNH, and that they are delivered in a way that drives the greatest possible value and impact.
• Leading by example and modeling desired behaviors, such as transparency, accountability, and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of learning and growth, encouraging partners to share their ideas and feedback, and working to incorporate these insights into the Information Systems strategy and operations.
• Develop deep domain knowledge of your business partner’s organizational functions.
• Champion a culture of shared ownership and constant organizational evolution.
• Collaborate as a Business Technology Partner team member to actively mature the BTP discipline.
• Develop and maintain a technology roadmap that supports business priorities and drives innovation within the healthcare system.
• Analyze existing business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation through technology solutions.
