Job summary

Carey Olsen is seeking a Business Development Manager to bolster the firm’s Banking & Finance practice across Jersey, Guernsey and London. You will develop and implement targeted BD strategies aligned with the firm’s BD plan, supporting corporate banking and finance teams in multiple jurisdictions.

The role focuses on advising partners with market insight, managing pipelines, and coordinating with Marketing to maximize ROI on campaigns and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a BD role, preferably in international law or professional services.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent; equivalent combination considered for related experience.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted commercial adviser to partners, delivering market insight and structured BD execution.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate goals into actionable revenue-generating activities.
• Strengthen client relationships and facilitate cross-selling across practice groups and jurisdictions.
• Design and monitor BD plans for Channel Islands practice groups with coordinated activity.
• Lead research on competitors, market trends and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.
• Support day-to-day requests and craft pitches, RFPs, and client presentations.
• Work with Marketing to develop content for campaigns, digital channels and events.
