Job summary

Advanced Composites | Defence is recruiting a Business Development Manager to drive growth across UAV, defence, and advanced engineering markets. The role focuses on new business opportunities, strategic account development and delivering manufacturing solutions from concept to production.

You will engage with engineering and procurement teams, shape commercial strategies, and represent the company at industry events. Hybrid UK-based role with two days per week on site.

Qualifications

• Proven success in business development, technical sales or account acquisition.
• Experience selling engineering, manufacturing or technical solutions.
• Knowledge of composites, advanced materials, aerospace, defence, polymers, additive manufacturing or related sectors.
• Ability to understand technical manufacturing processes and communicate effectively with engineers.
• Strong networking, relationship-building and hunting skills.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute new business growth strategies.
• Identify and secure opportunities within UAV and defence markets.
• Build relationships with engineering, procurement and programme teams.
• Understand customer technical requirements and develop manufacturing solutions.
• Support customers with design-for-manufacture and production scale-up discussions.
• Work closely with technical and manufacturing teams to develop proposals.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and exhibitions.
