Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Business Development Executive for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Seething, with hybrid working options near Norwich. You will identify new business opportunities, build client partnerships, and help expand market presence.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with willingness to travel as needed. You will manage inquiries through quotes, develop proposals, and maintain accurate sales data while collaborating

Responsibilities

• Manage enquiries from receipt through to quotation, proactive follow-up, and successful order conversion, ensuring a professional and responsive customer experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, overseas offices, and internal stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration and long-term business growth.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, industry engagement, and lead generation activities.
• Prepare, present, and negotiate compelling proposals and commercial offers that align with customer requirements and company objectives.
• Accurately maintain customer, sales, and opportunity data within company systems, ensuring records are up to date and reliable.
• Support the development and delivery of business development strategies while maintaining strong commercial awareness and adherence to company processes.
• Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and support informed business decisions.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences, enhancing brand awareness and generating new business leads.
