Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled Business Architect to shape how services are delivered for residents and businesses. You will define future capabilities, operating models and strategic direction to support large-scale transformation.

You will collaborate with Enterprise, Solution and Technical Architects, driving governance and best practice while mentoring colleagues to grow architectural capability within Technology Services.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of business architecture, enterprise architecture and organisational change from strategic transformation programmes.
• Experience with business modelling techniques including business capabilities, processes and target operating models.
• Knowledge of methods and tools for business and systems analysis such as BPMN, LEAN and UML.
• Experience developing strategic roadmaps and architecture deliverables guiding change and investment decisions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across large, complex organisations to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture work packages and support transformation programmes across services and directorates.
• Develop business capability models, target operating models and strategic roadmaps to guide investment decisions.
