Job summary

Alexander Mae in Wiltshire is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the IT team on a permanent, full-time basis. This 100% office-based role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will bridge business needs and technology, lead analysis across projects, facilitate workshops, document requirements, and support UAT from discovery to implementation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in business or IT change.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience facilitating workshops with stakeholders at different levels.
• Strong process analysis and process mapping capability.
• Experience identifying gaps, root causes, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
• An understanding of Agile, waterfall or hybrid project environments.
• Experience supporting UAT and solution validation.
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis activity across assigned projects and workstreams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers to understand business needs and objectives.
• Plan and facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Elicit, documenting, prioritising and managing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Challenging requirements and identifying assumptions, gaps, dependencies and risks.
• Analysing and documenting current and future-state processes.
• Completing gap analysis across people, process, data, systems and policy.
• Working with technical and solution teams to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements.
• Supporting User Acceptance Testing, including test scenarios, defect clarification and business sign-off.
• Producing clear requirements documentation, process maps, decision records and supporting project documentation.
• Supporting project governance, including RAID logs, action trackers and change impact assessments.
• Managing smaller workstreams independently where required.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls, data quality and user experience.
