Job summary

Amey is seeking a Project Manager to join the Built Environment team within Advisory. You will manage small to medium Environmental and Built Environment projects across the UK, handling tender through delivery and close-out with internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires a degree (desirable), APM membership, PMQ or equivalent, and strong knowledge of project management software. You will drive governance, risk, quality, and commercial performance while guiding junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject (desirable).
• Associate membership of the Association for Project Management (APM).
• APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent – or working towards.
• Applies project management theory to clearly understood situations, where concepts are matched to problem statements.
• Takes ownership for preparation and checking of deliverables and can supervise junior staff.
• Very good working knowledge of relevant project management software and analytical tools.
• Demonstrates good commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver small to medium Environmental and/or Built Environment projects.
• Handle projects from tender through to delivery and close out, coordinating stakeholders.
• Prepare, check and maintain project management information to meet quality, cost and programme; supervise juniors.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives; attend progress meetings and respond to queries.
• Maintain and advocate for Project Management Processes across the Advisory team.
• Ensure project compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and other regulations.
• Forecast, monitor and report on financial performance and variances.
