Job summary

Morrison Construction in Robroyston is seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join the Bid Team and produce clear pre-qualification and tender submissions. You will develop bid strategies, lead launch meetings, and collaborate with experts to craft compelling responses.

You will also create CVs, org charts, and promotional materials while ensuring messaging, quality, and format meet objectives. A strong English background and construction experience are essential, with flexibility for varying workloads.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor.
• Excellent use of the English language and writing skills.
• A construction background and ability to understand technical information.
• Ability to communicate with technically oriented people and write responses.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Be willing to support the team – a Team Player with a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to meet fluctuating workloads and tight deadlines.
• IT Literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Write clear and concise pre-qualification and tender submissions.
• Develop bid winning strategies with the Bid Team.
• Ensure governance and bid management processes are followed.
• Lead tender launch and finalisation meetings and workshops.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop client-focused responses.
• Produce CVs and organisational charts.
• Review final submissions for messaging, quality, format and content.
