Job summary

Building Careers UK is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its growing pre-construction team in the North West. You will produce compelling, high-quality tender submissions that showcase the company’s strengths, technical capabilities and social value commitments across education, healthcare, commercial and public sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience creating PQQs, SQs and tender submissions for a main contractor.
• Excellent written communication and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and tight deadlines.
• Experience with public sector frameworks is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and bid management software.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality written responses for PQQs, SQs and tender submissions.
• Develop persuasive answers that meet client requirements and scoring criteria.
• Coordinate information from operational, commercial and technical teams for submissions.
• Tailor content for projects across different sectors.
• Maintain bid library, case studies and supporting documentation.
• Create content covering social value, sustainability, health & safety and quality management.
• Ensure submissions are professionally presented and submitted within deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement of bid processes and submission quality.
