Job summary

SOCOTEC is expanding its environmental and occupational services across Ireland, including Occupational Hygiene, Water Hygiene, Asbestos, Noise Monitoring and Environmental Consultancy, alongside Stack Emissions in Naas. The Business Development Manager builds relationships with new and existing customers, drives tender submissions, and targets profitable contracts.

You will work with Operations Managers and Directors to identify larger opportunities and maximise cross-selling to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, marketing, telesales, business development, or bids environments.
• Experience in construction, engineering, asbestos, compliance, or related technical service sectors would be advantageous
• IT literate with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, databases, and CRM systems.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Responsibilities

• Identify new markets and develop customer relationships and creating new commercial opportunities.
• Lead competitive tender submissions and maximise reactive sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations Managers, Directors and the wider sales team to identify and secure larger SOCOTEC-wide opportunities.
• Maximise cross-selling opportunities and provide customers with a joined-up service offering across environmental lines.
• Support delivery of sustainable, long-term growth across Ireland.
