Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is hiring a Customer Service Director for Burton on Trent. You will lead the Environmental Science customer service team, ensuring seamless operations from field sampling to reporting, while representing the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

The role requires strategic leadership in a fast-paced lab environment with strong knowledge of laboratory principles and UKAS accreditation. As part of the Environmental Science Division, you will manage client relationships, drive service

Qualifications

Proven customer service leadership and management experience in a fast-paced environment.
Experience within customer-facing roles with demonstrable account management success.
Track record of team development, coaching, and mentoring.
Experience in handling conflict and creating positive outcomes through effective negotiation.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the customer service function, acting as the strategic link between operations and customer service delivery
Provide hands-on leadership to ensure excellent customer service from sample collection through to the provision of timely and accurate reports
Drive service excellence, team development, and business growth whilst maintaining quality standards and operational efficiency.
