National Highways is seeking a Head of Asset Management to lead the strategic management of its managed estate, ensuring land and property assets deliver value, stay compliant and support England's road network.

The role leads a team of property professionals, collaborates with senior leaders and external partners to develop asset strategies, maximise portfolio value and drive governance and performance across the estate.

Qualifications

• MRICS/FRICS Chartered Surveyor status required.
• Proven experience managing large, diverse property portfolios.
• Strong background in estates/asset management and strategic leadership.
• Experience leading teams and external professional service providers.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and budgets/contracts management.

Responsabilités

• Develop the strategy for National Highways' managed estate.
• Maximise value from a diverse portfolio of land and property assets.
• Lead the disposal of surplus property assets.
• Ensure legal, regulatory and property compliance across the estate.
• Manage landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions, disposals, easements and wayleaves.
• Oversee outsourced property management contracts and supplier relationships.
• Manage budgets, governance frameworks and financial performance.
• Contribute to Estates & Facilities leadership and drive continuous improvement across the function.
