Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Head of Asset Management (Managed Estate) to lead the teams responsible for our non-occupied estate and land held for future schemes. You will drive strategy, governance and value generation across a large property portfolio.

Based at one of our main offices (Birmingham, Bristol, Exeter, Wakefield, Leeds or Manchester) with regular travel to Exeter and other portfolio sites, you will lead external partnerships and ensure safety, compliance and commercial

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Surveyor with proven property management experience.
• Experience leading estates management or strategic property leadership.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategy and management of the non-occupied estate and land held for future schemes.
• Ensure safety, compliance and governance across the estate.
• Oversee disposals and contract management with external partners.
• Provide expert advice on leases, wayleaves, easements, landlord and tenant matters.
• Drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration across land and property management.
