Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Asset Planner to own and develop integrated site plans that drive asset performance, resilience and environmental outcomes. You will lead cross-functional collaboration, maintain long-term plans and inform AMP planning while aligning with regulatory and stakeholder needs.

The role sits in a hybrid base around the Thames Valley, with active attendance at the Reading office every Tuesday.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of asset management, planning and forecasting principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• High numerical literacy with ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Proactive mindset with ability to influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of integrated site plans across assets and sites.
• Maintain and update site and system plans to reflect changes.
• Provide input to 5-year AMP planning and ensure alignment with future needs.
• Define technical scope for submissions to decision gates.
• Create and manage system-wide plans for abstraction, treatment, storage, pumping and sludge assets.
• Monitor asset condition and maintenance standards; support external engagement.
