Job summary

RGB in Exeter seeks a Strategic Asset Appraisal Manager to shape long-term investment decisions across a large housing portfolio. Based in Exeter with hybrid working, the role is 37 hours per week and permanent, offering £50,400 to £56,000.

The successful candidate will bring extensive social housing asset or property management experience, combining data, commercial insight and property knowledge to drive intelligent investment planning and clear recommendations for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Extensive asset or property management experience in social housing.
• Strong ability to turn complex data into strategic recommendations.
• Experience delivering cross-functional improvements in housing or redevelopment contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed appraisals of properties, blocks, schemes and clusters.
• Assess physical, financial, strategic, legal and regulatory performance.
• Develop robust business cases for investment, regeneration, or disposal.
• Analyze portfolio data, valuations, costs and funding options.
• Lead property appraisal and land optimisation processes.
• Identify opportunities with Development, Regeneration and New Business teams.
• Support decant strategies and help reduce rent loss.
• Build relationships with local authorities and strategic partners.
• Drive improvements through data, automation and structured problem-solving.
