Job summary

West Midlands Police is seeking a Principal Application Architect to lead the design and modelling of strategic and tactical architectures for delivery, development and support of projects. You will build a long‑term roadmap, engage stakeholders, and drive end-to-end solution designs.

You will work with the User Experience team to identify Synergy opportunities, shape governance, and set standards across the organisation. Hybrid role with on-site and remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Lead the design and modelling of strategic and tactical architectures for delivery, development and support of projects.
• Build the long-term strategic roadmap for application architecture, prioritising removal of technical debt.
• Engage with business stakeholders from the start of an idea, shaping end-to-end solution designs.
• Work with User Experience to identify Synergy opportunities enhancing user experiences.
• Develop and maintain policies, standards, and guidelines across the organisation.

Responsibilities
