Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Account Manager (M&E / Engineering) based in Nottingham. The role focuses on maintaining and growing an allocated portfolio, acting as the lead contact, and developing new business with existing clients and new opportunities.

You will liaise with internal teams and may travel occasionally to meet clients, with a salary band of 42,000–50,000 plus annual bonus and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within an Account Management role in an engineering, construction or technical business.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and growth of allocated accounts
• Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
• Negotiate and close agreements to maximise profits
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts
• Clearly communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives
• Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
• Forecast and track key account metrics
• Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations
• Devise a strategy for each individual customer with a clear plan of action
