Job summary

Beacon Hill Academy in South Ockendon is seeking an experienced Academy Business Manager to provide strategic leadership across finance, estates and operations, working closely with the Principal and Leadership Team.

This full-time role (37 hours/week, 8am to 4pm) sits on a Band F scale (£49,686 to £56,675 FTE) and offers a pathway to influence school-wide strategic outcomes and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification in business management, finance, accountancy, HR or related discipline.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to business management, finance, estates or leadership.
• Strong IT skills using financial management, HR and MIS systems.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for finance, estates, HR, health and safety, compliance and administration.
• Lead financial procedures, systems and value-for-money initiatives with Governors.
• Develop long-term financial plans and manage risks to sustainability.
• Line-manage the Administration team and liaise with ESFA and leadership group.
