Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking a Digital Marketing Officer to lead data-driven campaigns that raise awareness of fostering and connect prospective carers with the Black Country Fostering Hub.

You will develop authentic stories into accessible digital content across social, web and email, collaborating with communications, IT and partner councils to deliver multi-channel campaigns and generate high-quality enquiries.

Qualifications

• Experience in digital marketing, social media, content creation with evidence of engaging audiences.
• Strong storytelling, copywriting and editing across written, visual and video content.
• Experience delivering multi-channel campaigns and using CRM and digital marketing tools.
• Knowledge of social media, email marketing, SEO, analytics and digital advertising using data to improve results.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management with commitment to inclusive communication, equality and diversity.
• A relevant Level 4 qualification, degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and optimise integrated digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Manage regional social media channels and Google Business Profile listings.
• Create and schedule engaging written, visual and video content for social media, email marketing and digital campaigns.
• Support digital PR paid search and social advertising, virtual events and local promotional activity.
• Apply SEO best practice to improve visibility, engagement and user experience.
• Maintain accurate campaign, audience and enquiry data through CRM systems.
• Monitor campaign performance, produce clear reports and recommend improvements.
• Identify emerging digital opportunities, trends and innovations that strengthen our approach.
• Manage the content for the Black Country Fostering Hub website and ensure other websites are aligned.
• Work collaboratively with partners, agencies and foster carers across the region to promote local events and generate enquiries.
