Job summary

Wilson James is recruiting a Logistics Operative for the Stores & Compounds Team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. The role supports safe, efficient receipt, storage and issue of tooling, consumables and materials to on-site contractors on a 4 on, 5 off pattern.

Average 40.25 hours per week with a day shift of 06:00-18:00. Visa sponsorship is not available; applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. Opportunity to progress through the Wilson James Progression Pathway.

Qualifications

• CITB Operative Health & Safety Test completed before starting.
• Previous stores, warehouse or stock control experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records.
• Strong work ethic and reliable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and putting away incoming materials, tooling and equipment
• Controlling the issue and return of stores items
• Conducting stock checks and inventory control activities
• Identifying maintenance requirements for tooling and electrical equipment, including calibration, PAT testing and thorough examinations
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards across stores and compound areas
• Supporting contractors with the issue of materials, consumables and equipment
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory systems
• Following Safe Systems of Work and the HPC Code of Conduct at all times
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested by your Line Manager
